A good friend of mine, Laurie Haak, has a photoblog called 39° North Photography. Throughout the year she will assign photography “assignments” to her friend and blog followers. These are all for fun and there are no prizes. However they have many personal rewards, at least for me. These assignment over the years have improved my photography and my “eye” immensely.

This assignment was called “The Alphabet.” Taking photos of things that look like a letter of the alphabet. At first I thought I might get 8-10 letters to submit but then I started seeing letters everywhere. Below is my version of the alphabet I found in my world.
