In 2002 I made my first trip to Morocco along with Spain and Portugal. The allure of this country made me want to return again one day. My Christmas adventure of 2011 brought me back for 15 days.
December was a great time to visit the country. The temperatures are moderate during the days. The only time we were cold were the mornings of our 2-night tent camp stay on the Sahara. It got down to about 32º in the morning, but once the sun came up layer after layer came off.
This trip included lots of local interactions with the people. They were all very friendly and added to a more in-depth understanding of the people and their culture.
Would I return? Absolutely. It’s a wonderful country with so many sights, sounds, colors and tastes to take in.
